Siskiyou Singers Holiday 2022 Concert: “Very Merry Mozart”

Siskiyou Singers and Music Director Mark Reppert invite you to celebrate the choir’s 40th anniversary with an exquisite holiday experience featuring Mozart’s Coronation Mass and Regina Coeli, performed with full orchestra and soloists.

Performances of “Very Merry Mozart” will be at SOU’s Music Recital Hall in Ashland on Friday, Dec. 9 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 10 and 11, at 3:00 p.m. General admission is $20 ($5 for students and Oregon Trail Card holders). NOTE: Online ticket sales have concluded. Tickets for Sunday’s performance will be for sale at the door on a first-come basis.

The first half of the concert will center on Mozart’s Coronation Mass, full of sprightly themes and joyous melodies, and his Regina Coeli, a delicious, filigreed pastry praising the “Queen of Heaven.” The second half of the concert will include a variety of holiday favorites, including Jason Robert Brown’s ecstatic Chanukah Suite; a jazz interpretation of It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year; and a shimmering version of Silent Night, arranged by Matthew Culloton. As is its tradition, the choir will conclude the concert with John Rutter’s rollicking take on We Wish You A Merry Christmas.

COVID ALERT: The Covid level in Jackson County has risen to “medium.” We respectfully request that only fully vaccinated individuals attend our concerts. Masks are recommended.

Don’t miss this exceptional holiday event, and come celebrate 40 years with Siskiyou Singers!
