Rehearsal Schedule 3-12

Dear Singers

We have a very camping rehearsal ahead of us! (it will be intense–get it?) I think we will go away from rehearsal on Tuesday exhausted but full of a sense of accomplishment. I look forward to it. Be sure you are prepared!

Sectional Rehearsals

  • Sopranos, March 9 at 2 PM at Katharine’s house
  • Basses, March 10 at 2 PM at Rich’s house
  • Altos, March 17 at 9:30 AM at the Manor
  • Tenors, March 17 at 1:30 PM at Priscilla’s house

I’lana Cotton’s Farewell Concert!

Many of you have had the wonderful experience of singing I’lana’s music as a part of Siskiyou Singers. She has been a great friend of the choir and has provided us with many great pieces. I think one of my favorite “I’lana” memories was singing “Butterfly” in the rain outside the Holocaust Museum in Vilnius, Lithuania. That was a life-changing moment for me!

I’lana is leaving the Rogue Valley. It is very unfortunate for us, but she is happy to be starting a new chapter in her life in Florence, Oregon after the death of her dear husband Paul. She will be presenting a farewell concert of her music March 23 at 3 pm at the SOU Music Recital Hall. I know that many of us will want to hear it (I, unfortunately, can’t attend). The poster is below. BTW, our very own Mikiko Petrucelli will be performing–but that is not a big surprise. She is playing the piano everywhere!

See you Tuesday!
