Rehearsal Schedule 11-19

Dear Singers

I have heard almost no one tell me that Laurie Anne did a wonderful job with the choir. I know she did. You do not have to worry–I do not feel threatened. I am so glad the rehearsal was great!🙂

As I already mentioned, my daughter is doing very well after her surgery. Marilyn is staying with her for now but is with us in spirit (and on Zoom). I hope she can be back for the rehearsal 11-26.

As you might suspect, preparing the seating chart is a time-consuming job. I try to think about the needs of each singer and the choir as a whole. I have been busy, of course, but will have it ready for rehearsal. I will send an email to you on Monday or Tuesday.

We will be performing a short program which will be a preview of both of our upcoming programs. The program begins at 7 PM and I expect it to last about 45 minutes.

We will be standing for 45 minutes, but can help out those who don’t feel capable of standing that entire time. We will have one row of about 12 singers which will be seated throughout the program in the front of the choir. If you would like to be one of those 12, please reply to this email. Also, if you are not sure, let me know that as well. In the past it has all worked out just fine.

We will be caroling in downtown Ashland from 12 pm until 2 pm on Dec. 7. We will sing standard holiday carols in 4 parts with music that I will provide to you ahead of time. This is not a serious expectation of all choir members–just something really fun. Please let me know if you will be able to join us by replying to this email. BTW, the choir will receive a $200 stipend for doing this gig.🙂
