Good Day Siskiyou Singers!
It is said that “No news is good news” and I think that holds for this email.
We are 2 rehearsals away from our concert performances next Saturday and Sunday and it seems all is going well.
Tomorrow will be our regular Tuesday rehearsal at the church sanctuary and then our Tech rehearsal on the risers Friday going through the whole program and dealing with any technical issues that might (will?) arise.
Riser Volunteers
All volunteers that signed up on my list should have gotten an informational email from me a few days ago. I will mention it one more time tomorrow with rehearsal announcements and then I’ll see all those who signed up for this Friday setup at 1 PM at the SOU Recital Hall backstage doors or on the stage.
Concert Dress
It would be a good idea to double check now that you have what you need to wear for our concerts. And remember, you don’t need to wear concert dress for this Friday’s tech rehearsal. Do wear comfortable clothing and shoes and probably anticipate a warm concert hall unless the air conditioning has been started. Maybe bring a snack since rehearsal may go from 7 to 10 PM. Also, don’t forget your official Siskiyou Singers water bottle if you want to drink water on stage.
Parking
In case you’re wondering, parking in the big Mountain Street lot across from the Recital Hall is free for us on Friday evening and for all concert members and audience attendees on Saturday and Sunday for our 3 PM matinees.
After the Concert Party
Please fill out the online form for the potluck party that will be at Margaret and Keith Baldwin’s home on Sunday evening starting at 6 PM.
Here’s the link for the form again
Returning Music
There will be boxes for those who didn’t buy their music this term (or any other Siskiyou Singer music you may still have) at the Sunday concert in our Green Rooms. Please be sure to return it after the concert is done.
Peace Choir Concert Flyer
Elizabeth Bingham asked that a link to their concerts be added to my email again this week. It is below. She also placed one of our flyers for Siskiyou Singers in the Peace Choir email recently. Thank you Elizabeth!
Keep On Singing Everyone,
Steve
