Registration, Auditions, and Rehearsal Tomorrow Evening

Siskiyou Singers,

Hi all. I hope everyone has been able to stay warm and safe. I went over to the Methodist church this afternoon to check out the conditions for Tuesday rehearsal. Roads are clear of snow to the pavement so no packed snow. However, just as everywhere, if the pavement gets wet during the day and freezes there can always be black ice. The parking lot has been plowed and the sidewalk is shoveled. Tree branches are still on the corner but have been moved enough off the street to make room for 2 way driving at the light. Some of the angle-in parking across from the street is cleared but you can’t park next to the curb on the church side due to uncleared snow. I would suggest most everyone should use the parking lot and sidewalk to and from the church.

Rehearsal
Tomorrow, Tuesday February 11, we will have auditions, starting at 6:30, registration at 7:00, and our rehearsal will begin at 7:30 (this week) and last until about 9:30.

Registration
To help speed up our registration flow, please go to our website, siskiyousingers.org (password is
silentnight ) and into the Members page to download and print the registration form so you can fill it out at home and bring it with you along with payment. There will be paper copies available at registration if you are not able to do this and payment can be made with check, cash or credit card.

Water Bottles
We will have our official (and only water bottles you can use on stage) available for purchase for $5.00 each during registration. Be sure to put your names on them since they are all the same.

Music
Your music will be handed to you after you’ve paid. If you purchase your music to keep, you may highlight or mark it up in any way you like. However, if you don’t purchase music, you need to only use number 2 pencils to mark it and then try to erase it before you turn it in at the end of the term.
3 hole punching for 3 ring binders is okay.

Allergies
Please respect other members of the choir by remembering to not use any products with a fragrance including but not limited to perfumes, colognes, deodorants, aftershaves, etc.

I look forward to starting to prepare our performances for this term with everyone tomorrow!

Stay safe and healthy. Be sure to enjoy singing as well as each other and have fun!

Steve Thomas
