Week 13

Well our special Family Holiday Concert is next Saturday afternoon. Hard to believe it’s here already. Days are so short now but in a mere 2 weeks they will begin getting longer again! We have a Tuesday rehearsal this week at 7 PM as usual.

This coming Friday, Dec 13 we have our tech rehearsal at the SOU Music Recital Hall with call time at 7 PM. Arrive early and be on the risers and ready to sing by then. No concert dress clothing needed for this event.  Wear comfortable clothes and footwear. The risers will have chairs for sitting as needed. It can be fairly warm due to the stage lighting. Usually, tech rehearsals can be from 7 to 10 PM but this one may be shorter due to the program being shorter. I’d recommend bringing all of your music including for the January concerts just in case.

Call time (on the risers and ready to sing) is 2 PM for our 3 PM performance. Concert dress for this is our regular full dress rules with red bow ties instead of black and Cynthia will have some red bow ties and red or green scarves to borrow. Other festive additions will be permitted such as Santa hats but nothing too outlandish! Ask Cynthia or Mark if you are in doubt about your “festive addition”.

There will be an After Party following our Saturday performance. It is at Northwest Pizza and Pasta Company in Ashland. Please click on this link to fill out a very short form to let us know the amount and kind of pizza we should order for you.

Email Issues 📭 🙁 😞

I continue to receive emails or verbal notices of singers not receiving my and/or Mark’s emails. My work-around for this currently is to send my emails twice. Once using my new address president@siskikyousingers.org and a copy of the same email using my old address siskiyousingerspresident@gmail.com. I can’t tell how well that’s working and I apologize if you receive both but it’s better than none at all. Please be sure that both of my addresses are in your email app contacts list (not just your device’s Contacts address book unless they are one in the same) AND be aware that you may have more than one Trash 🗑️ and/or Spam folder that you need to check. It depends on the device and email app you use and there are many.

P.S. Thanks to those singers who went caroling on the Ashland downtown streets and in some of the establishments on Saturday. We all had lots of fun and some very positive feedback from spectators! Consider joining us next time 😃
